Proverbs 22:14-16

New American Standard Bible

¹⁴ The mouth of ^[a](A)an adulteress is a deep pit;
He who is ^(B)cursed of the Lord will fall ^[b]into it.
¹⁵ Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child;
The ^(C)rod of discipline will remove it far from him.
¹⁶ One ^(D)who oppresses the poor to make ^[c]more for himself,
Or gives to the rich, ^(E)will only come to poverty.
